The CDO Scholarship 2026 program is now accessible to all qualified Filipino collage students. For the academic year 2026-2027, the City government of Cagayan de Oro is inviting all interested parties to apply for the City Scholarship program

What is City Scholarship?

The City Scholarship Office has announced the opening of application for the years 2026 to 2027 on its Facebook page.

This program provides students with two types of Scholarships, which are as follows:

1. Academic Scholarship and
2. Non-Academic Scholarship

Academic scholarship

Applicants who are selected for the scholarship mat be required to select any partner school of their choosing as well as any subject, including board and medical related courses such as nursing, med-tech, and pharmacy.

Non-Academic Scholarship

Applicants who are chosen for the Scholarship may select any non-board and non-medical courses in a school approved by the city scholarship committee.

Qualification Requirements to apply

To apply for the A city Scholarship program, Please Follow the prerequisites listed below:

• Must be a Filipino Citizen.
• Applicant is a permanent resident of Cagayan de Oro City;
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree on a full-time basis;
• Must be a graduate of Senior High School;
• Must be an incoming first year collage student by the start of SY 2026-2027;
• Must NOT have been enrolled in collage
• Must not have exceeded gross total family income of PHp 300,000 per year.
• You must not have a sibling or family member who is currently a city scholar.

Submit Online REQUIREMENTS

• Submit complete Scanned COPIES of the Following requirements and in PDF Format at bit.ly/OnlineSubmissionRequirements2026, Starting February 2, 2026
• Applicant must be Filipino citizen;
• Grades (Grade 12 first semester)
• For ALS graduates, Senior High Certificates of Completion
• Birth Certificate
• Certificate of Residency of Applicant indicating particular address in Cagayan de Ora and length of residence
• Residence map with the landmark of the home address
• Photo of residence for validation purpose
• COMELEC Registration or Voter’s Certificate of the applicant or parents
• Parents Proof of Income (choose whichever is applicable)
  • If indigent parents
    • Barangay Certification indicating the source of income pf both parents and the total family income
    • Or BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption for unemployed parents
  • If employed or self-employed parents, BIR Income Tax Return
    • If applicable/optional
      • Summary of Senior High School Awards and Leadership signed by the School Principal
      • PWD ID of the applicant
      • 4Ps ID of parents/applicant
      • Solo Parent ID
      • Certification of Indigenous People Membership

The requirements must be submitted by March 15, 2026.
