The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is Currently accepting online application for the academic year 2026-2027,
All interested and eligible Filipino students are encouraged to apply, Scholarship Programs. OWWA has announced the opening of applications for the EDSP and CMWSP program on its officials Facebooks page.
What is OWWA Scholarship?
The OWWA Scholarship Program is a financial assistance program sponsored by the OVERSEAS WORKERS WELFARE ADMINISTRATION (OWWA) to support educational expenses of dependents Children/Spouses of an Active OWWA-Member (OFWS)-Overseas Filipino Workers follows:
- Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
- OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)
- Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)
Note: OWWA is accepting online Application only for EDSP and CMWSP Scholarship Program for the academic year.
Educational For Development Scholarship program (EDSP)
Here are the requirement to apply OWWA EDSP Scholarship Program:
Requirements to Apply
- Applicant Must be Single
- Must be a Child an Active OWWA Member or a Sibling of a Childless Married OWWA Member
- Applicant Must be below 21 Year old
- Must enroll in any university or collage within the country
- Must be Grade 12 Graduating Students with General Weighted Average of at least 80%
- No Other Active Scholarship Programs
Documents to be Prepare
- Valid Government-Issued OFWs ID Card
- True copy of birth certificate or Baptismal Certificate
- School ID
- 2×2 (TWO) ID Pictures with a white background along with name tag
Proof of Grades:
- Certificate showing latest General Weightage Average of at least 80%
- Form 137, Form 138 or TOR: Transcript of Records
- Certificate of no Marriage – (CENOMAR)

Scholarship Benefits:
₱60,000/ Per Year For Tuition and other related Expenses, Covers up to 4-5 years of course.
Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP)
To apply for the CMWSP Scholarship Program, applicants must be children or siblings of a current OWWA member.
Requirement to Apply
- Must be Single
- Must be a child of an Active OWWA Member
- Applicant Must not be more than 21 year old
- Must be Grade 12 Graduating Student with General Weighted Average of at least 80%
- For those who enrolled in any 4 to 5 years of Baccalaureate Course in the Collage/university
- No other Active Scholarship programs
Documents to be Prepared
- Active OFWs ID Card
- True copy of birth certificate/Baptismal Certificate
- School ID
- 2×2 (TWO) ID Pictures with a white background along with name tag
